LORD KENYA
Kenya was once bigger than Shatta Wale and Sarkodie combined, he was the rap heavyweight champion of Ghana. His shows was a sold-out and his top notch performance was a hot commodity. Lord Kenya released more 5 successful albums and sold as much as he could, We don’t know where the money went but according to our research, Lord Kenya was heavily involved in drugs (Cocaine and Weed) and we know these drugs don’t come cheap, besides it’s price, once addicted, it’s hard to stay away from it. Lord Kenya went dead broke, realized his mistakes and is now a pastor. Sigh! talk about bad decisions.

REX OMAR
We wouldn’t have known Rex Omar’s financial status until his issue came in the news recently. Rex Omar could be compared to the likes of Amakye Dede, Daddy Lumba and Kojo Antwi. During his time, he released bangers of all genres, from gospel to Hi-Life and more. We didn’t know that a man like Rex Omar was still living in a rented apartment and all his properties including his car were confiscated by court because he owes just 8,000 Euros. Wow! What happened to all the sales

OFORI AMPONSAH
Ofori Amponsah won artiste of the year 2 times in a row, He almost won the 3rd time until he was robbed. He was the next big thing in Hi-Life after Daddy Lumba. According to our research, Ofori Amponsah spent most of his fortune on women and dirty lifestyle. When the music stopped selling, he turned to be a pastor. We hope he is a pastor because he was called and not for money reasons.

PRAYE
Praye after winning the Nescafe African revelation became huge stars and till date holds a record of the most sold album in the history of Ghanaian music. According to our research, Praye’s Angelina album sold over 300,000 copies, where did all that money go. According to a recent report, Praye is dead broke now and they still owe their former member, Praye Tintin a hefty amount of cash. The car Praye Tietia’s wife drive is said to be from an auto-loan which paying has also become a problem. Praye is currently struggling and the music is not selling nor the shows. What happened guys?

OMANHENE POZO
I couldn’t even recognize him the last time I saw him, He has changed and it’s obvious he’s living from hand-to-mouth. Omanhene Pozo used to be one of the popular artists back in the day. He released hits like ‘Wasei’, ‘Medofo Adaadaa Me’ and more like it wasn’t a problem. When the shows stopped coming and his songs couldn’t reach far, things changed.

TRIGMATIC

Trigmatic is not old in the music game but he made his hit songs about 4 years ago. Since then he’s been trying to make a big hit but it seems it’s all going into the deaf ears of Ghanaians. According to our research, Trigmatic is broke because he signed a not-so-good deal with the management he signed with before the success. He played lots of shows when he broke out, only to find out he was getting 10% or less out of the hard work he’s been doing. He also quit his radio show on Y FM. I wonder how he is getting-by now. Our sources tells us that most of his recently released songs are not even paid-for in the studio and that he records on credit.

REV. KUSI BERKO
This man is a gospel musician and he’s responsible for many classic gospel songs in Ghana like Wofata, Mmrane and many more. He sold lots of albums as we know the gospel people sell more albums than the secular musicians. He’s currently sick of stroke and no money to cater for himself. Can this be life?

KOFI NTI
Kofi Nti together with Ofori Amponsah made wonders, every release they worked on was an instant hit. They released countless songs together which performed well. Played shows around the world. According to our research Kofi Nti was never rich but he lived on the pocket of Ofori Amponsah and he was cheated by Ofori Amponsah during the time they worked together, hence why they split and since the split we never heard from Kofi Nti again. Lord knows where he is.

JOE FRAZIER
Joe Frazier was the king of rhymes until the Sarkodies came through, he made his all-time biggest song ‘Shii Shii’ which was applauded by many but applauds don’t mean money right. Sources close to the rapper tells us, He has been broke for time, since he was never very huge anyway. The early stages of his career paid a little but the ladies took it all away. Someone recommended him to me to manage him musically but I’m not into management. Sigh!

DR. CRYME
Dr. Cryme is the ultimate one-hit wonder, He came through the music industry as the darling boy, made his name but his legacy couldn’t live on for long. He had an ambassadorial deal with Samsung but he couldn’t make anything reasonable with it. His music is not making it to the top again and the shows are not coming. He also left the label that managed his career. The last time we saw Dr. Cryme play a show was at a festival and the maximum a festival will pay you to perform is somewhere 1,000cedis. How do you build a mansion with a couple of 1,000 cedis’?
