Peter of P-Square Slams Critics Of Tiwa Savage's 'Wanted' Video

Peter Okoye, a member of music duo, P-Square, has jumped to the defence of musician Tiwa Savage after she received a lot of flak for her latest video, 'Wanted'.
The video, released about a week ago, has been viewed over 300,000 times. Some fans have condemned the video with many accusing her of producing a sexually suggestive piece.
A fan posted on Youtube, "This was a stupid video. Quality of the the video was flawless and so was the song. But the bodysuit was stupid and the touching on yourself and some really random moves was doing the absolute most."
Another fan, however believed there is nothing wrong with the video and wondered why fans are quick to judge Tiwa Savage but praise Beyonce and Rihanna when they do worse.
"We Africans pine over Beyonce and Rihanna when they appear half (and sometimes fully) naked in their videos, yet we condemn our own artistes for the same. Shows that colonial mentality that still exists, we don't appreciate what our country men/women do, we only appreciate those things when foreigners do them. You all better start getting used to it, because as Nigeria developes videos like this will be common place (and thus accepted)."
Renowned Nollywood producer-director, Charles Novia has also condemned the music video.
On Twitter, the director wrote, "Rihanna and Beyonce and all other Yankee gals doing the nude video stuff at least have originality in their insanity. This one is…smh."
"Rihanna exposes her breasts and booty and a mad fever grips almost every female act in Nigeria to also show their own t*t*. Haba!’ and advised that the thin line between art and lewdness be maintained.
"When you start exposing punanies & penises in d name of stupid ‘art’ , then those shouting ‘hypocrisy’ shd let their kids go naked to sch," he added.
Peter Okoye commenting on the video urged Tiwa Savage to continue with what she is doing and asked fans not to be hypocrites.
He posted a photo of a semi-nude of Nicki Minaj on Instagram and stated "She (Nicki Minaj gets worshipped for doing this but our own Tiwa hasn't even come close and the hypocrisy comes flying from all corners. Abeg @officialtiwasavage keep tasting and chopping ur money."
Peter posted another photo of Beyonce wearing a top that reveals the outline of her breasts and nipples with the inscription: "Ok... And dats Beyoncé but some keep complaining about Tiwa.. Their husbands aren't complaining so pls let them flourish."
